Aladdin's lead cast has been finalised and fans are not happy

The already announced Will Smith has been confirmed to play the Genie.

Though the actors for the main characters have been announced, Disney reportedly is still looking for actors to fill other roles, including the infamous villain Jafar, his sidekick parrot Iago and Princess Jasmine's father Sultan.

Say hello to your new Prince Ali, Disney has finally locked Mena Massoud!

Celtics expected to move Jae Crowder following Avery Bradley trade
According to an ESPN report, the Boston Celtics are finalizing a trade to send guard Avery Bradley to the Detroit Pistons . The Celtics are weaker on the perimeter, though Marcus Smart can handle some of Bradley's defensive responsibilities.

He will be joined by English actress Naomi Scott as Jasmine. She has previously worked with Disney as she starred in the Disney Channel original movie Lemonade Mouth in 2011. Mena Massoud, an actor who doesn't have much experience, especially on the very big screens, and Power Rangers' Naomi Scott, will be flying on the magic carpet in this movie. The cast of voices included Scott Weinger (Aladdin), Robin Williams (Genie), Jonathan Freeman (Jafar), and Linda Larkin (Jasmine), with Tony victor Lea Salonga lending the singing voice of Jasmine. One fan pointed out that Scott was white and Indian while Jasmine was black and Middle Eastern, hence, Scott was no Jasmine at all.

After months of search and over 2000 auditions for the lead roles in South Asian countries, Guy Ritchie went with (essentially) non-Arab actors for his upcoming film. Massoud is an Egyptian-Canadian actor while Scott is half Indian, half British. It was the highest-grossing film of 1992, earning over $217 million in revenue in the United States, and over $504 million worldwide.

Disney was reported to be interested in both Dev Patel and Riz Ahmed for the title role, but had hoped to land a newcomer.
