Chelsea forward Costa: I'll only join Atletico

Diego Costa insists he would only leave Chelsea for former club Atletico Madrid and has no interest in moving to the Chinese Super League.

Costa says he would only be willing to leave Stamford Bridge to re-sign for Atletico, the club he joined Chelsea from in 2014 for £32 million, although the Spanish side would have to pay almost double that to prise him away. I have a contract and no intention of leaving, but if there are changes to be made that might reduce my chance. I'm not interested in other clubs, ' Costa told reporters after the cup final defeat.

But Costa has now proven that he'd still love to stay at Chelsea next term and be part of Antonio Conte's team in the upcoming Champions League return.

Costa, who joined Chelsea from Atletico in 2014, added of his future: "I'm very calm, the only conversation I've had is with the club, for them to call my people to know what's going to happen".

Speaking to DIRECTVSports following the FA Cup final defeat, Costa noted that he does not intend to leave Chelsea despite the heavy speculation.

Chelsea want to make a major statement by signing a striker in the summer, with Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata at the top of their shortlist, but the latest developments mean that the club may need to reevaluate its business.

Asked about Costa's future, Conte said: "It's important for me to take two or three days to rest and then to speak about the future, for my players, for all".
