Miley Cyrus' new single 'Malibu' is her most emotional track yet

The former Disney star is set to release new song Malibu on Friday, and on Thursday showed her 65.8m Instagram followers its cover ahead of its release. She also delves deep into the world of non sequiturs with "Do we even exist?/ That's when I make the wish/ To swim away with the fish/ Is it supposed to be this hot all summer long?"

The song is a major departure from her 2013 release Bangerz and that VMA performance.

P.S.: Loving the platinum ombré, Miley!

Another added: " I AM LIVING FOR #MALIBU. My new single #Malibu is droppin!

Wizards' Oubre suspended for Game 4 for knocking over Olynyk
Ryan Anderson had 13 points (up from 2 in the previous game), and the Houston bench had 50 points, well ahead of the 10 last game. WASHINGTON (AP ) - Isaiah Thomas feels as though he was shut down by the Washington Wizards and the referees in Game 4.

As much as it seems like a deliberate swing of the "Wrecking Ball" pendulum, it's clearly not just a marketing move but an earnest public mash note to on-again fiancé Liam Hemsworth, whose Malibu compound she recently announced she's moved into.

People are "going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, "This is how I feel"?" she explained during the candid interview. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard.

Cyrus reminisces in the song about her introduction to Malibu, one of the most celebrated beaches in the Los Angeles area, after overcoming fears of swimming. "We had to re-fall for each other". She subsequently signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records, and her debut studio album Meet Miley Cyrus (2007) was certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) having shipped over three million units.
