The miniature console was available for limited time and Nintendo has now discontinued.
The Nintendo Mini shipments still continued during the initial part of 2017, but its production had to be stopped to give way to the SNES Classic Edition's own run.
First, the details. Sources tell Eurogamer that the SNES Mini would be a microconsole version of Nintendo's 16-bit system, and ready for release by Christmas of this year. This new mini console would be the reason why Nintendo has made a decision to move on from the NES Classic Edition. Nintendo has plans to launch the SNES mini console worldwide at the time for Christmas this year. If the capabilities of the NES Classic Edition are anything to go on, Nintendo should not need to do much to redesign it as an SNES machine. It would retain a similar plug-and-play setup, and come loaded with some selection of the most popular games from the Super NES era. Now, it seems like the SNES Mini is next in line to bring back some of the nostalgia again for the holiday season.
It is also unsure whether it aims to correct some of the glaring problems with NES Classic, such as its unit shortages, and its ridiculously short controller cable.

The release of the NES Classic Edition by Nintendo brought about a huge amount of excitement followed by equal amounts of anger and frustration.
Nintendo have yet to comment on the report.
