"There's one way to practice and one way to play". Other times, nothing you see makes sense.
The first half saw the Detroit Lions keeping up with the Dallas Cowboys, score-for-score.
The Lions came out guns a'blazing in the first half. Prescott finished the game as the Cowboys ran the ball a majority of the fourth quarter. Lee won't cover Ebron all of the time, but he's a difference maker in a Cowboys defense that's vulnerable down the middle of the field. That was even more impressive since two of the Cowboys' pass rushers were out with injury.
Robinson was a reserve at that time, but he's started three of Detroit's past four games, lining up next to five-time Pro Bowler Haloti Ngata as the Lions' defensive tackles.
After that, Stafford was just off the rest of the game. He pointed to decision making as a contributing factor. Stafford completed just 56.5 percent of his passes on Monday night, his second-lowest percentage all year.
It's why he's one of the better punters in the league and why the Cowboys have a strong special teams unit. It's not a one person game.
Aiken state representative jailed on domestic violence charge
Meantime, South Carolina House Speaker Jay Lucas says he has heard about the arrest and will take action if Corley is indicted. State representative Christopher Corley, R-Aiken, was arrested on charges of domestic violence and pointing a weapon Tuesday.
The Lions failed to move the ball from there, and the Cowboys were able to clamp down and keep the Lions scoreless in the second half to improve to 13-2.
A Lions team focused on stopping running back Ezekiel Elliott had no answers for the Cowboys' diverse and efficient passing attack. The Cowboys do have a solid defense, but throughout his career, Matt Stafford has always been able to take it to them.
Prescott threw his first touchdown pass to Bryant, who made a hard catch seem easy while fending off Lions CB Johnson Bademosi to tie the score with 1:04 left in the half. After 15 games, the defense continues to show signs of improvement. First off, Zeke has been utterly unstoppable behind the Cowboys' top-tier offensive line, who haven't had problems moving anybody out of their way all season. Though he wasn't alone. The Cowboys promptly lost their first playoff game to the New York Giants and watched their division rival upset undefeated New England in the Super Bowl. He promptly gave up a big pressure on third down and was back on the bench for most of the game afterwards. It is a rivalry game and one that could prove unsafe for stars like Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott also had a 55-yard touchdown run in the first quarter when he thrilled the crowd by coping Bryant's X celebration, as well celebrations by receivers Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams.
The lack of pass rush, however, is here to stay. In fact, except for a couple tweaks, they didn't ease up on the gas very much.
